Signs of life at Spitz in Leesburg as sign is installed

It’s been nearly a year and a half since the Spitz Mediterranean Street Food restaurant chain announced their first Virginia location was coming to Leesburg.

While the window clings still read “Opening Early 2023,” we’re told we should be able to cross out that “3” and put a “4” in there because an opening is in site.

This after the restaurant’s sign was recently installed over the location’s doorway at the Village at Leesburg.

Work has actually been underway in the space for some time — and now the sign has been installed and The Burn has seen people working in the space recently.

We first broke the news about Spitz coming to Loudoun County back in July 2022. The brand specializes in what they called “Healthy Modern Mediterranean” food.

The menu looks amazing — doner wraps, “street cart fries,” gyros, various salads and bowls, and more. You can check out the full Spitz menu here.

We’re told construction delays held the project up, but now things are moving quickly and the owners are hoping to open sometime in the first quarter of 2024.
