Sign goes up at Loudoun’s new Triveni Supermarket

The first Triveni Supermarket in Virginia is getting closer to opening day — and Friday afternoon, the store’s sign was installed on the front of the building.

Triveni has taken over the space that used to be a Food Lion grocery store in the South Riding Town Center.

Triveni is an supermarket specializing in Indian foods and flavors. The new market is expected to have a food court and a bakery.

We’re told a separate Triveni event space that can be rented out has also been carved out of the former Food Lion.

The Burn first broke the news about Triveni coming to the shopping center way back in July 2022. So, local residents have had a fair wait.

A look inside shows that some shelving has been erected, but the cavernous space is still mostly empty, so there is a lot of set up work yet to do.

Neverthless, the folks at Triveni HQ tell us they are currently aiming for a February opening.

The Triveni brand currently has stores in North Carolina, Texas, and Maryland with several more stores in the works, including two in Virginia — the South Riding location and one in Richmond.
