Shenandoah Square in Leesburg could be expanding

It looks like the developers of a Leesburg shopping center may have plans to expand. They are marketing three future buildings with space for up to six new tenants.

The center in question is Shenandoah Square. That’s the large plaza near the intersection of Edwards Ferry Road NE and the Leesburg Bypass.

It’s the former home to the town’s Walmart store which is now a Floor & Decor store. It’s also the center with the Leesburg Public House, IHOP, Taco Bell, and Burger King.

The proposed new buildings can be seen in light blue on the diagram below. They include one building that could house four future smaller tenants or one larger tenant in roughly 10,000 s.f. of space.

There’s also the potential for a 13,250 s.f. building across the parking lot, and a 4,720 s.f. building tacked on to the west side of Floor & Decor building.

There’s no guarantee that all these projects will come to fruition, but the landlord is actively seeking tenants for them. If they’re successful is getting some signed leases, then the construction process would start rolling.
