Kusshi Sushi headed to the Reston Town Center

A new sushi restaurant is in the works for the Reston Town Center. That’s according to the landlord for one of the region’s premier dining and retail developments.

Kusshi Sushi is reportedly taking a roughly 3,000 s.f. spot on Democracy Drive in the center. It’s the spot that was formerly Le Pain Quotidien, a French-style bakery and restaurant.

Kusshi Sushi is part of a growing restaurant brand here in the greater Washington DC area. According to the company’s website, they currently have five locations.

This includes three in the Maryland suburbs and two here in Northern Virginia, in Vienna and Arlington.

The menu at Kusshi Sushi is extensive. Besides a huge selection of sushi and sashimi, they also have appetizers such as Spicy Rock Shrimp, Kusshi Wings, Ika Geso (battered and fried squid legs), and Japanese Pickles.

Entrees include Teriyaki, Katsu (deep-fried panko breaded cutlet), and Ramen. There are also a number of East Asian curries on the menu. You can see the full line-up at the Vienna Kusshi Sushi location here.

No word on when the new restaurant will open at the Reston Town Center. The deal is brand new, so stay tuned for updates.
