Pottery Barn planning new store in Leesburg

Well that didn’t take long. It was only last August that The Burn broke the news that Restoration Hardware was moving locations in Leesburg. Now, we know who is apparently taking the soon-to-be-vacated space — Pottery Barn.

Restoration Hardware — more properly called just plain “RH” these days — is moving its RH Outlet store from the Leesburg Premium Outlets mall just a little ways up the street to the Fort Evans Plaza II development.

That’s the center with the HomeGoods store, the Marshalls, the Walgreens, and the Buffalo Wild Wings near the intersection of Fort Evans Road NE and Battlefield Parkway NE.

The RH store hasn’t even moved yet and the Outlets mall already has a replacement lined up. A new Pottery Barn Outlet store is slated to take over the roughly 25,000 s.f. spot.

No timeline has been announced for the big switcheroo of stores — but this will be good news for fans of home decor shopping.

According to the Pottery Barn website, there are just three of their stores in Northern Virginia — all over in the Fairfax and Arlington areas.

For the record, this isn’t the first rodeo for Pottery Barn in Leesburg. The brand previously had a store in the Leesburg Outlets, but it closed more than a decade ago — in 2012.
