Plans for new steakhouse in Brambleton fall through

A bit of bad news for folks in Ashburn’s Brambleton neighborhood who were looking forward to a new steakhouse in the area. After months of negotiations, we’re told plans to bring Dom Nuzzi’s Italian Steakhouse to the community have fallen through.

It was back in May that Chef Jason Maddens — owner of the much loved Ahso Restaurant in the Brambleton Town Center — announced his plans to bring an Italian Steakhouse to the area.

He had hoped to open it in a 5,200 s.f. space at the Bram Quarter development off Loudoun County Parkway. But Maddens and the center’s representatives were unable to come to terms.

“We’re intensely disappointed, as we had hoped to expand and grow within the neighborhood that has embraced us so much,” Maddens told The Burn. “But we must move on, so the search is on for a location that will do the Dom Nuzzi concept justice.”

The restaurant’s name is to honor Madden’s grandfather — Dominic Nuzzi. Nuzzi left money to Maddens in his will that paid for his first foray at a culinary school.

No word on where Maddens will look next for a home for Dom Nuzzi’s. Here’s hoping he finds a new spot somewhere in the area.
