The Velocity Wings Express location in Ashburn is no more — but you still get your wing fix despite the closure.
Regular readers may remember that back in 2020, a Velocity Wings Express location opened inside the Social House restaurant at the Goose Creek Village shopping center. That’s at Belmont Ridge Road and Sycolin Road in Ashburn.
Social House and Velocity Wings are owned by the same restaurant group.
Now, we’re told the Velocity Wings sign is down and the express take-out counter inside the Social House is gone.
However, the popular Velocity wings are still available — they have just been added to the Social House menu. So, in other words, you can still get the same wings — you just need to order them through the Social House in Ashburn.
When asked if they had any plans to open a Velocity Wings elsewhere in the immediate area, a rep said nothing is in the works at the moment, but they are always open to considering new locations.
According to its website, Velocity Wings has eight locations in Northern Virginia, including four in Loudoun County — in Sterling, South Riding, Purcellville, and Lovettsville.
