New in NoVa: Popular DC deli Call Your Mother expanding to Vienna

The much buzzed about bagel shop and deli with the fun name Call Your Mother is expanding in Northern Virginia with a new location in Vienna.

The Burn has learned that Call Your Mother will be taking a roughly 1,300 s.f. space in the Vienna Marketplace retail center. The unit was previously a Cold Stone Creamery.

The space had been earmarked as a future location of the Taim Mediterranean restaurant chain, but that deal fell through and Call Your Mother swooped in and got the spot.

Call Your Mother got started in DC at some of the city’s farmers markets. It then opened its first brick-and mortar location in 2018.

Today, it has grown to 14 locations open in DC, Virginia, Maryland, and Colorado. Here in Northern Virginia, there is a location in McLean and another one is in the works for Old Town Alexandria.

The menu at Call Your Mother is bagel focused, with a variety of creative sandwiches served up on the various flavored bagels, or on other breads as well.

The “Jetski” immediately caught our eye — brisket and pastrami, with American and cheddar cheeses and jalapeño, melted on a cheddar bagel. You can check out the full Call Your Mother menu below.
