Bkd Bagels planning new location in Ashburn

Wow, the folks at Bkd Bagels are making headlines again. They are still working on the third location of their bagel shop and now they are announcing shop No. 4. And this one will be in Ashburn’s Brambleton neighborhood.

Bkd Bagels will be coming to the Brambleton Corner Plaza. That’s the long-gestating development at the intersection of Evergreen Mills Road and Northstar Boulevard.

Currently, there is a Filling Co. gas station and convenience store there, as well as a CVS pharmacy and a Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Bkd will be taking one of the vacant units near Tropical Smoothie.

Regular readers and bagel fans will recall that Bkd opened its first bagel shop in downtown Leesburg back in 2021. This was followed by a second location in Purcellville in 2022.

Then, just this past December, Bkd Bagels announced plans for its second Leesburg location. The company is taking over the former Dolce & Ciabatta spot at the Fort Evans Plaza II shopping center.

This location will not only feature a retail bagel shop, but will also become a central kitchen for all their stores where the bagels can be baked each day and delivered in the company’s “bagel van.”

“The primary goal is to provide an incredibly consistent and repeatable experience at any of our shops you choose to go to,” co-owner Tony Davis told The Burn. “Thank you for always celebrating with us and continuing to roll with us through this journey.”

Davis says the buildout of the new Brambleton location will take most of 2024 but they are nevertheless hoping to open before the end of the year.
