Update: The Burn received a note from Spitz HQ letting us know that the planned March 15 opening day we reported Wednesday morning has now been pushed until Friday, March 22.
Here’s hoping the second time is the charm. Spitz Mediterranean Street Food — a new restaurant coming to Leesburg — has announced that it will hold its grand opening on Friday, March 15 March 22.
Spitz is a Mediterranean style restaurant that is taking a spot in the Village at Leesburg. It’s been in the works since the summer of 2022 and they appear to be finally approaching the finish line.
Spitz had previously announced they were opening in February, but there was still more work to be done and the date had to slide. Now, they are targeting a week from Friday.
The menu at Spitz is filled with wraps, sandwiches, and bowls featuring ingredients like garbanzo beans, feta, olives, corn, pita strips, lavash chips, sumac, and more. You can check out the full Spitz menu here.
