Loudoun’s new Goodwill store announces opening day

Folks tired of driving to the Goodwill retail shop and donation center off of Sterling Boulevard will have a new option coming up next month. A brand new — and larger — Goodwill store is set to open in Loudoun County in April.

Goodwill of Greater Washington has announced that the store will open on Saturday, April 13. It’s located in the Guilford Station development near the intersection of West Church Road and Atlantic Boulevard.

That’s the same center with the new-ish 7-Eleven store and The Human Bean coffee shop.

The new Goodwill site has already been taking drop-off donations in its drive-thru donation lanes on the side of the building. Now, the retail store will soon be open as well.

“91 cents out of every dollar we earn goes towards our education and employment services, so every item donated and sold at our new Dulles location will have a positive and measurable impact on our local community,” said Brendan Hurley, Goodwill of Greater Washington Chief of Collaboration, Communication, and Marketing.

Approximately 30 new jobs will be created by the opening of the store as well.
