At long last, we are starting to get information about a new Mexican restaurant coming to Loudoun County. It’s called Mancha Cocina Mexicana and it will be opening soon in Leesburg.
We first reported a Mexican restaurant was headed to the spot at 210 Fort Evans Road back in the fall of 2022 — but we didn’t have many details.
That’s in the Fort Evans Plaza retail center with the Hobby Lobby and the Home Depot.
We found out the name of the restaurant would be Mancha Cocina when the sign went up in October 2023.
Now, we’ve gotten in contact with the owners who have shared a few more details. Chief among them — that they intend to open sometime later this month.
“We’re excited to bring authentic Mexican cuisine to Leesburg and cannot wait to open our doors,” the Mancha team wrote in a message. “(Guests) can expect a variety of traditional Mexican dishes such as tacos (with homemade fresh tortillas), birria, mole, carnitas, carne asada and many more.”
A precise date for the opening hasn’t been announced yet — the owners readily admit they hit some speed bumps during the build-out process.
But now, the finish line is in sight. We’ll keep you posted on when they will be ready to open their doors.
