A new 113-room hotel is coming to Leesburg, along with a new retail shopping center. And the development has a familiar name — Fort Evans Square.
Fort Evans Square is a sister project to the existing Fort Evan shopping centers on Fort Evans Road NE. Fort Evans Plaza I is the center with Home Depot and Hobby Lobby. Fort Evans Plaza II is the center down the road with Walgreens, Buffalo Wild Wings and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Fort Evans Square will be tucked in between the two.
The new development will include a Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel with 113 rooms. According to the brand’s website, “Home2 Suites by Hilton is a hip extended stay hotel experience that offers great deals and affordable rates for guests.”
There will also be a 12,900 s.f. retail center. Depending on how that space is sub-divided, it could contain up to seven different restaurants, shops or businesses.
Construction is scheduled to start on Fort Evans Square in April and it should be completed 12 months later, in April 2021.
