It looks like Sterling is on the verge of getting a new Paisano’s Pizza restaurant. The Burn has learned the popular (and fast-growing) pizza brand wants to open in the area and is currently looking at a spot in the new Shoppes at Potomac Corner center there. They would reportedly take the space next to the recently opened Newk’s Eatery. (See our Newk’s coverage here.)
Paisano’s is a homegrown brand. It started out with its first store in Fairfax in 1998 and has now expanded to roughly 40 locations around the greater DC market. This includes Ashburn, Leesburg, Herndon and more. They are currently pursuing the new location in Sterling as well as several new spots in Maryland.
The Shoppes at Potomac Corner sits at the intersection of Route 7 and Potomac View Road. That’s kitty-corner from the Northern Virginia Community College campus. Besides the first Newk’s Eatery location in Virginia, the center also has a SouvlakiBar fast-casual Greek restaurant and several other shops.
The Corner location has a few nice restaurants and an AT&T store…there is also a nail shop that is very fancy but they do the worst pedicures in the nation….and they also charge for every tiny thing they do. If you shop there….Newks is perfect and we believe is giving Panera a run for it’s money!
