A new cake shop specializing in beautiful wedding cakes will be coming to the Village at Leesburg in 2020. It’s called Dana’s Cake Shoppe and the store will be opening in a storefront near Rita’s Italian Ice facing the central plaza.
The business describes itself as “a custom cake shop that specializes in gourmet desserts, freshly baked goods, and special occasion and wedding cakes.”
Dana’s has been around Northern Virginia for several years now, making beautiful fondant-style cakes for weddings, birthdays and so forth. They’ve also had a retail space at the Chefscape location in the Village at Leesburg. Now, they’re opening their own stand-alone location a block or so away.
No official word on the menu or selection at the new store yet, but in the past, they’ve offered treats like chocolate-covered strawberries, chocolate-covered pretzels, macarons, cupcakes, cake pops and more.
