Hot Pot Legend sign goes up at One Loudoun

The Chinese hot pot restaurant is taking over the former Aggio’s space.

The first exterior sign has been mounted on the future location of Hot Pot Legend at One Loudoun in Ashburn. The Asian hot pot restaurant is taking over the high profile former Aggio’s space at the Exchange Street entrance to the center.

The Burn first broke the news last October about Hot Pot Legend signing a lease for the One Loudoun. Hot pot cuisine comes from China and traditionally involves a simmering pot of broth at the table where the guests then cook a variety of foods in the hot liquid. Typical hot pot items include thinly sliced meats, leaf vegetables, wontons, seafood, tofu and egg dumplings. You can see the menu for the Rockville, Maryland Hot Pot Legend location here. It’s the only current US location of the chain that originated in Asia.

No word on when the Ashburn location will open. While the sign going up on the facade is always a good sign that things are moving forward, a peek in the windows shows they are still mid-construction and there is work yet to be done.
