Marumen ramen restaurant in Sterling closed permanently

The Asian eatery had been in the Cascades Overlook center for roughly a year and a half.

After a year and a half in business, the ramen restaurant Marumen in the Cascades Overlook shopping center has closed for good. The restaurant originally shut its doors during the coronavirus, then reopened for carry out and delivery. However, now comes word they are closed permanently.

Marumen opened in the center in January 2019. It specialized in ramen — a Japanese dish featuring noodles, broth, meats, vegetables and spices. The Marumen location in Fairfax is still open.

Cascades Overlook — which is at the intersection of Bartholomew Fair Drive and Benedict Drive in Sterling — recently saw the much-loved Colada Shop Cuban cafe close as well.
