After several weeks of suspense, BKD Bagels has officially announced where they are opening their first brick-and-mortar bagel shop. The new store will be in the building recently vacated by Bites Wine & Grilled Cheese Bar. That’s at 105 South King Street in downtown Leesburg.
The menu at the new shop is expected to include made-from-scratch bagels as well as bagel sandwiches, bagel charcuterie boards, a variety of cream cheese flavors, smoked lox, coffee, craft beer and mimosas.
BKD has been around for more than a year. Their specialty has been making small batches of gourmet bagels that were delivered to or picked up by eager customers. Now, they are ready to open their first storefront.
The BKD team says they have some work to do on the space to get it ready. They are hoping to open sometime in mid to late July.
