Hotworx, an infrared sauna fitness center, has signed a new lease for what will be its second location in Loudoun County. The Burn has learned they are taking a spot in the Stone Ridge Village Center in Aldie.
Hotworx opened its first local location in May in the Ashburn Farm Market Center in Ashburn. According to the brand’s website, there are more than 200 locations around North America, and a couple more overseas.
The concept is similar to the idea of hot yoga. Using infrared heat, a variety of exercises are performed in wood-lined sauna rooms. Classes include Hot Pilates, Hot Core, Hot Buns and Hot Bands.
The heat purports to maximize results and help detoxify the body. Classes are led by virtual instructors on television screens in the sauna rooms.
The owners say the new Hotworx at Stone Ridge will be roughly 2,300 s.f. They hope to open it sometime around October or November of this year.
