MADE Artisan Market comes to Leesburg for the holidays

An “indoor street fair” is getting ready to open at the Village at Leesburg tomorrow, Thursday, November 4. That’s how organizers are describing the new MADE Artisan Markets coming to the center.

MADE Artisan Markets is holiday pop-up market featuring local artists who are bringing their wares together in a unique shopping experience. Here’s how the organizers describe the MADE pop-up, which is apparently the first one they’ve conducted:

“We are a creative community of makers who are dedicated to promoting the arts in our towns by featuring local artisans, jewelers, craftsmen and women, designers and decorators, painters, sculptors, glass artists and more,” the website reads. “All under one roof to create a unique shopping experience that might feel like a street fair – but it’s indoors, comfortable, and here for you come rain or shine.”

This first weekend, the line up is scheduled to include the Tansley Paper Co. with paper gifts and cars, oil and pastel paintings from Art by Lakshmi, glass candles from Beaudoin Jewelry, resin artwork from Mended Heart Glass and handcrafted personal care items from Wax and Wane Provisions.

The MADE Artisan Markets will run each weekend — Thursday to Sunday — from November 4 to January 2. The market is located at 1609 Village Market Boulevard, Unit 110. That’s the storefront next door to the former Eggspectation restaurant, near one of the entrances to the center.
