Death investigation underway in Ashburn neighborhood

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation after a person was injured in an Ashburn home and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

According to the LCSO, the initial call came in around 8:30 Thursday evening. A family member had been found unresponsive inside a townhome at 23325 Connie Marie Terrace. That’s in the Brambleton neighborhood.

The victim, an adult female, was taken to StoneSprings Hospital Center in the South Riding/Stone Ridge area near Highway 50, where she passed away.

Connie Marie Terrace is a quiet street just a block or so off Belmont Ridge Road. Friday morning, there were multiple police vehicles on the street, and yellow crime scene tape surrounded the home as investigators went in and out.

Loudoun County property records show the home belongs to Najat Chemlali Goode. However, there is no confirmation yet as to who the victim in the incident is.

A LCSO spokesperson say as of now, there have been no arrests and the death remains under investigation in conjunction with the Loudoun County Medical Examiner’s office.
