Roaming Rooster opens in Chantilly

Fans of hot chicken sandwiches have another new option, especially if they are in the South Riding/Chantilly area of southern Loudoun. Roaming Rooster, a fast-growing DC-based brand has opened off Highway 50 near State Road 28.

The new Roaming Rooster is in the Chantilly Crossing shopping center. That’s the same center anchored by a Costco, a Target and a future Lidl grocery store.

The Burn first broke the Rooster news back in April 2021 and fast-forward 14 months, the new store held its grand opening Friday.

Roaming Rooster started as a food truck in 2015 and has since expanded to eight brick-and-mortar locations with a ninth location opening soon.

Chicken sandwiches on the menu include the OG Nashville, the Buffalo, the Honey Butter and the Club. You can choose your heat level — from mild to extra hot.

There are also wings, tenders, salads, fries, pickles and more on the menu. You can see Roaming Rooster’s full offerings here.
