Old Ebbitt Grill spinoff coming to Reston Station

One of DC’s most famous restaurants — the Old Ebbitt Grill — is expanding for the first time ever with a new restaurant in Reston. It will be called Ebbitt House.

Ebbitt House is coming to the Reston Station development. That’s the large project going up on the north side of 267 at Wiehle Avenue. It’s the current home of restaurants such as Founding Farmers and Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse.

The announcement called the vision for the new restaurant as a “stylish modern spin on Old Ebbitt Grill.”

Ebbitt House will include a 300-seat indoor dining room with two bars, as well as 125 seats outdoors with a patio bar. The menu will reportedly be reminiscent of the American classics that DC’s Old Ebbitt Grill is known for.

The Old Ebbitt Grill was originally founded in 1856. Today, it is part of the Clyde’s Restaurant Group — the same folks who own and operate Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm in Ashburn.

Ebbitt House is anticipated to open sometime in 2025.
