Unfortunate news in the Lansdowne community, where a local juice bar and smoothie shop has closed its doors. The Qwench Juice Bar is no more.
“It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that our store will be closing its doors for the final time,” reads a note posted to the front door. “We want to express our sincere gratitude to our loyal customers who have supported us throughout the years.”
The Qwench location in the Lansdowne Town Center only opened in August 2021 — less than two years ago. No reason was given for the closure.
The shop was a franchised location and part of a Los Angeles-based chain that has roughly 25 locations scattered across the country, the bulk of them in California.
The only two Qwench locations in Virginia were both here in Loudoun County. The now-closed Lansdowne location and another Qwench store at the Cascades Overlook center in Sterling. That location has different ownership and is still open for business.
