It looks like the DC Prime restaurant in Ashburn will soon have a new neighbor. According to documents from the landlord, a Shell gas station will be built near the entrance driveway leading to the popular steak house.
The property in question is simply called Lakeview. It currently includes two office buildings, a Springhill Suites hotel, and DC Prime. But there are spots slated for additional development — four spots to be exact.
This includes a space for a new building right next to DC Prime, plus three more spots out along Loudoun County Parkway. These spots have been on the market for years with no movement.
But the recent connecting of LoCo Parkway with Riverside Parkway has opened up a new route for drivers and increased traffic. This could be a one main factor in the proposed Shell station on the site. More traffic means more businesses will want to move in there.
The Burn actually reported on a proposed gas station at Lakeview back in late 2021, and it has taken this long for a brand to be attached to the project. No word yet on when they will actually break ground.
