La Taqueria — the new Mexican street taco restaurant coming to downtown Leesburg — is days away from opening and now The Burn has a peek inside.
For folks familiar with the former Buford’s Biscuits location, the makeover to the space at 15 Loudoun Street SE will be an interesting sight. New furniture, new paint, new decor = new restaurant.
As readers know, Buford’s moved to a larger space over on West Market Street.
The restaurant features a simple menu of tacos, gringas, and assorted other dishes. They also have six different kinds of homemade salsa — Caliente (spicy), Macho Menos (mild), No Pica (zero spice), Guac Salsa, Green Salsa and Pico De Gallo. See the menu here.
La Taqueria has a few finishing touches to take care of and is planning on opening next week — just in time for everyone’s favorite Mexican day of celebration — Cinco de Mayo.
