New tenant signed for former Slapfish space at One Loudoun

Well, we figured it wouldn’t take long — and sure enough. It looks like a new tenant has been locked in for the former Slapfish restaurant spot at One Loudoun in Ashburn. It’s going to be a Skinceuticals SkinLab — a boutique skincare center.

As The Burn has been reporting, Slapfish closed back in January — but mixed messaging online and from folks involved made it unclear if the fast-casual seafood restaurant might not return in some fashion.

But then the sign over the door was removed as was all the furniture and fixtures and it was clear, the eatery wasn’t coming back.

Now, window clings have gone up on the exterior of the space announcing the anticipated Fall 2023 arrival of SkinLab. ‘Signature Facials,” “Peels & Hydrafacial” and “Great Skin Made Easy” are touted on the signs.

The 2,200 s.f. space is in a prime spot in the center — on a prominent corner just a block from the Loudoun County Parkway entrance. It’s kitty-corner from Matchbox and across the street from the Eddie Merlot’s steak house.

Skinceuticals SkinLab is a national brand of skin care centers with locations in eight states. But according to the brand’s website, there are none currently in Virginia or the DC market, so Ashburn may be the first.

They offer both a long list of skincare products as well as onsite treatments such as microneedling, chemical peels, and body countouring.
