New in NoVa: Chicken+Whiskey moves into Virginia

A growing spit-roasted chicken restaurant is expanding from its home in DC and preparing to open its first location in Northern Virginia. It’s called Chicken+Whiskey and that clearly describes the focus on the menu.

Chicken+Whiskey is getting ready to open a store in the Clarendon area of Arlington. It will be at 3033 Wilson Boulevard. No official date yet — just “coming soon.”

The Arlington restaurant will be the fourth for the brand. It already has two in DC and one in Columbia, Md.

Chicken+Whiskey specializes in polla a la brasa, a Peruvian style of roasted chicken with seasonings. But there are many other dishes on the menu as well including sandwiches, chicken tenders and wings, a chicken soup, and more.

The offerings also includes sides such as Yuca Fries, Sweet Plantains, and Arroz Congri, a mixture of white basmati rice and seasoned black beans. And, of course, they have a bar with whiskey and other grown-up libations as well.

No word yet whether Whiskey+Chicken will continue to expand in NoVa, but one can hope.
