Black Shutter building in downtown Leesburg becoming new restaurant

Ever since the Black Shutter Antique Center closed in downtown Leesburg last year, there has been much speculation about what would go into that prime location on one of the downtown’s major intersections.

Now, The Burn has learned that the space is being turned into a large restaurant that will feature a bar, dining rooms, and multiple outdoor patios.

The address of the new restaurant is 102 South King Street. That’s at the corner of Loudoun Street and King Street — with Delirium Café and Señor Ramon Taqueria as neighbors across the street in either direction.

Plans call for a large L-shaped bar on the main floor with barstools as well as tables and high tops. There will also reportedly be two dining rooms on the first floor, plus at least two outdoor patios.

Upstairs, there will be more dining rooms as well as outdoor dining on a balcony patio.

All told, it appears that there will be seating for at least 250 guests or more in roughly 8,300 s.f. of space on the first and second floors. That’s a sizable restaurant for downtown Leesburg.

That’s everything we know. Now, here’s what we don’t know yet: the name of the new restaurant, the type of cuisine, and when they hope to open. We’ve got messages out for more information so stay tuned.
