A new restaurant specializing in hibachi style dishes is starting its soft opening in Ashburn this Monday, June 12. It’s called Yum Yum Hibachi and it’s located on Ashburn Road in the heart of Old Ashburn.
As regular readers of The Burn know, a soft opening is a delicate time for a new restaurant. They are open and serving the public, but they are trying to do it quietly so they can test all the systems and equipment and their employees can get their feet wet, so to speak.
During the soft opening, Yum Yum will only be open from 5 to 9 p.m.
If all goes smoothly in the first few days, the grand opening is scheduled for next Friday, June 23. That’s when hours would expand to 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
With the grand opening, the restaurant will also launch delivery via the many delivery service apps such as Grubhub and DoorDash.
Late last month, The Burn gave readers a first look inside Yum Yum Hibachi. The restaurant is primarily focused on carry-out and delivery.
There is no dining room, but there are several tables on a patio outside for when the weather is nice.
The just unveiled menu revels in the simplicity — choose your protein, choose your base, choose your toppings. There are also sides such as miso soup, spring rolls, and gyoza. You can see the new Yum Yum Hibachi menu here.
