New details on the upcoming X-Golf venue in Ashburn

Work is getting closer to starting at the new X-Golf facility coming to Ashburn. And now we have new details about what the golf simulator and bar/restaurant venue will feature.

As regular readers know, X-Golf is coming to a 7,000 s.f. space in the Broadlands Village shopping plaza. That’s at the corner of Claiborne Parkway and Broadlands Boulevard.

The Burn first reported on it back in March. It will be the first Northern Virginia location for the brand that has roughly 100 locations open or in the works across the country.

We’ve learned that X-Golf in Ashburn will feature seven golf simulators where players can work on skills or just play a round with friends on simulated golf courses around the world.

Like at a bowling alley, there will be a high-top table with chairs for friends to watch while they wait their turn.

One of the seven simulators can be set aside for private events, with its own gathering space, and a curtain that can separate it from the main facility.

There will also be a small putting green for working on your skills on the greens.

Meanwhile, there will be a central bar with seating for 16 people. The front of the bar is closest to the entrance and will serve as the check-in point for players arriving.

Finally, a kitchen will be built in the center of the space that will prepare munchies and bar-style food to go along with the drinks at the bar or at the simulator stations.

There is one X-Golf open in Virginia, down in Richmond. We’ve heard the Ashburn location is hoping to be ready to tee off sometime this fall, but — for now — we at least know construction work should be getting underway soon.
