Oseyo Asian restaurant headed to Lansdowne Town Center

Regular readers may recall that back in March, The Burn reported on a new Korean barbecue restaurant headed to the Lansdowne Town Center.

It’s going into the spot right at the entrance from Belmont Ridge Road that was previously The French Hound, and several other restaurants prior to that.

At the time of our first report, we were told the 5,600 s.f. restaurant would go by  the uninspired name “Lansdowne Korean BBQ.”

Turns out, that was just a placeholder name. Now we have learned that the new restaurant will be called Oseyo and it will be a sister operation to another Oseyo located in Centreville.

That location focuses on Korean street food and is not a traditional Korean BBQ, which usually features burners in the middle of the table where guests cook their food in a convivial, communal setting.

The exact format and menu that the Lansdowne location will take is yet unknown. We have messages in to the folks at Oseyo for more details.

By the way — in case you were wondering — the Korean word “oseyo” can be translated as “welcome, please come in.”
