The new archery shop and bow-and-arrow shooting range in Leesburg is ready to officially welcome area archers. Double X Archery is holding its grand opening tomorrow — Saturday, July 1.
The new shop is located in the Leesburg Plaza off East Market Street. It’s gone into a 5,500 s.f. space that used to be part of the Pier 1 store.
The shop sells bows, arrows, crossbows, and other archery merchandise in a retail section. They will also offer archery lessons.
And there are 16 shooting lanes where customers can try out different bows for purchase, or just come in to practice their target skills.
The lanes are primarily standard 20-yard lanes, but they also have shorter lanes for children, and a 30-yard option as well.
The Burn first reported that the archery shop was taking the Leesburg Plaza spot back in February. Since then, the space has been getting outfitted with the new layout and fixtures.
A soft opening at the Double X started a couple of days ago — a little trial period before the official opening Saturday.
