Just a quick follow up to a story The Burn reported earlier this week. On Tuesday, we told readers how The Container Store — a national storage solutions chain — was considering a new store at One Loudoun in Ashburn.
Initially, we didn’t know the precise location the brand was after — but we guessed it was likely the vacant 17,000 s.f. space where outdoor furniture supplier Great Gatherings used to be.
Since that report, we’ve been sent new information that indeed confirms the space in question is the Great Gatherings space.
It’s the largest space currently available at One Loudoun. Since Great Gatherings closed in June 2020, the empty unit has been used sporadically for things like a seasonal Halloween decor store.
Officials at One Loudoun declined to comment on the plans for The Container Store, so no other details yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
