A new Mexican restaurant is in the works for the Worldgate Center in Herndon. It will be called Uncle Jalapeño Mexican Bar & Grill, according to what we believe is its website.
(We say “believe” because no actual street address appears on the website that we could locate.)
Worldgate is the retail center at the intersection of Centreville Road and Wordgate Drive. It’s also home to an AMC movie theater and a TGI Fridays.
Per the leasing company, Uncle Jalapeño is taking a nearly 5,400 s.f. space at the east of the center next to the Salon Plaza location.
Other than a cute logo on the restaurant’s nascent Facebook page, there aren’t any other details about menu specifics or a possible opening date.
It’s motto appears to be “Crazy Tex, Mucho Mex” — so we can infer Tex-Mex cuisine will be part of the offerings.
