New Potomac Taphouse starts soft opening in Loudoun

A new restaurant and bar quietly opened its doors this week as it starts a soft opening in Loudoun County. It’s called the Potomac Taphouse.

The new establishment can be found on the north side of Route 7 in Ashburn in the University Commerce Center off George Washington Boulevard.

The official opening is next Monday, but the Potomac Taphouse team will be slow rolling things out. They are starting with a truncated dinner menu and new dishes will be added in the weeks to come.

Right now, the Taphouse is just open in the late afternoon and evening, but that will be changing soon too. Other menus that will be debuting include a lunch menu and a brunch menu.

Items on the current dinner menu include a Lobster Bisque, a Steak House Salad, and a Filet of Yellowfin Sole Florentine. You can see the dinner menu as well as the beer and drinks menu below this story.

The Burn first told readers about the plans for the Taphouse back in March, so the owners made quick progress on getting to opening day.

They are also the owners of Massaya Lebanese Restaurant & Bar in the Goose Creek Village Center in Ashburn.

Meanwhile, the University Commerce Center — a retail and office complex — now has four restaurants in a row (more or less) that are worth checking out.

Besides the new Potomac Taphouse, the center is also home to Taco Zocalo, the Fountain Grill, and the Wicket Door Pub.
