Rusty Taco has landed in Northern Virginia — even if it is behind the security gates of Dulles International Airport.
The first outpost in the region for the Dallas-based brand opened at the end of July in Terminal D at the airport. It’s also the first airport location for the burgeoning chain.
The Burn initially reported on their plans for an IAD location late last year. Rusty Taco also has two locations in the Richmond area.
Across the country, there are roughly 30 Rusty Taco locations open or announced so far, with more in the works.
Here in Virginia, there is a franchisee looking for locations in the Norfolk market.
But right now, a corporate spokesperson tells us there is no one actively bringing Rusty Tacos to NoVa, outside of the airport. That could change if the right franchisee is found.
