Swiss International launching non-stop service from Dulles

A new airline will soon be taking off from Dulles International Airport. This week, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority announced that Swiss International Air Lines will begin nonstop service between Zurich and IAD on April 1, 2024.

Flights will operate daily during the summer and five times per week in the winter. Passengers will travel on an Airbus 330-300 aircraft featuring first, business and economy class cabins.

Swiss Air’s new route to Washington will become the airline’s sixth U.S. gateway for the carrier.

“Lufthansa Group customers in the region will enjoy (Swiss Air’s) unique premium service and an exceptional hub at Zurich, boasting new lounges and streamlined connectivity to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia,” said Dirk Janzen, vice president passenger sales, The Americas, Lufthansa Group Airlines.
