An update to the eagerly anticipated opening of the first Duck Donuts shop in Loudoun County. As often happens with new restaurants, the owners have had to slide their planned opening date.
Readers of The Burn know the popular donut brand is opening a 1,100 s.f. shop at the South Riding Town Center. That’s at the intersection of South Riding Boulevard and Tall Cedars Parkway.
Late last month, Duck in South Riding announced that they were aiming for an October 12 opening if all went smoothly. But now, the management of the store has announced they need more time to properly train their new staff.
So, the new target opening date is Thursday, October 19 for the soft opening and the grand opening on Saturday, October 21. There will also be a Friends & Family day on Wednesday, October 18.
The owners also shared some photos giving a glimpse of the interior of the new shop, including the one at the top of this story.
The Duck Donuts in South Riding has been in the works for the past year. There is also a second Duck Donuts now being planned for Loudoun. As The Burn has reported, that one is coming to the Broadlands Village Center in Ashburn.
