Artisan pottery shop opening new gallery in Sterling

A local online pottery shop is going the brick-and-mortar route with a new storefront in Sterling. It’s called Manna Pottery and it produces lovely teacups and saucers, mugs, bowls, decorative tiles, cookie jars, and more.

Manna Pottery has signed a lease for a roughly 2,000 s.f. spot in the Countryside Marketplace shopping center. That’s the plaza at Route 7 and Countryside Boulevard.

It will be just a few doors down from the new Lotte Plaza Market grocery store that recently opened in the center.

According to the Manna website, artist Rezgar Mamandi was raised in the Kurdistan area of Iraq and uses techniques with his unique pottery and tiles that date back centuries.

We understand there will be both a retail component to the new gallery and also an educational aspect with classes offered pottery painting.

The deal for the space is brand new, so no word yet when Manna Pottery will open. We have messages into Mamandi for more information.

Below is a YouTube video posted by Manna Pottery showing some of the studio’s techniques.
