Our local international airport will soon (as in next summer) have another new option for travelers — daily direct flights from Washington International to Mexico City.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority announced on Thursday that Aeromexico — the flag carrier of Mexico — will start the daily flights in July 2024.
“With the launch of this non-stop route to Mexico City, travelers will enjoy the benefits of capital-to-capital service and convenient connections for business and leisure opportunities,” said Airports Authority executive Chryssa Westerlund.
Aeromexico is part of the SkyTeam Alliance which means it has a a codesharing agreement with Delta Air Lines.
