The Smoothie King shop at the Dulles Town Center has apparently closed for good.
That’s according to both online sources and The Burn reader Mike Higgins.
Both the shop’s Google listing and its Yelp listing say the smoothie stand has closed.
And Higgins was kind enough to send us the above photo, showing the space has been emptied of equipment and is now vacant.
The shop was located on the lower level of the shopping mall, near the entrance by the Cheesecake Factory and Los Toltecos.
While the store at the DTC may have closed, another area Smoothie King just opened not too long ago. The Smoothie King at the Ashbrook Commons shopping center in Ashburn opened in the summer of 2022.
No word on what tenant might take over the Smoothie King spot. Like shopping malls across the country, the Dulles Town Center has been struggling to retain retailers — especially large, national brands.
A new management company took over several years ago and there was talk of a major re-imagination and renovation of the mall, but no details on that have come to light yet.
