Dash In looking at new location in Loudoun County

The Dash In restaurant and convenience store brand continues to pursue additional locations in Loudoun County — and now they have their eye on a spot in Ashburn.

The proposed store would be built on the northwest corner of Loudoun County Parkway and Claude Moore Drive. That’s part of that big area of undeveloped land along the parkway between Moorefield Village and the Dulles Greenway.

Dash In wants to build a 5,600 s.f. convenience store there along with an estimated eight fuel pumps, or 16 fueling stations.

Dash In isn’t your typical convenience store. The owners sometimes refer to it as a restaurant that happens to sell gas.

The first Dash In in the region opened in Loudoun County off Gum Spring Road in the South Riding area back in March. It has a fast-casual restaurant inside with a full menu of breakfast items as well as sandwiches, burgers, salads and more.

We’re talking things like a Triple Cheese “Stackadilla,” an Italian Sausage & Peppers, a Crispy Chicken Cobb Salad, and a Mango Peach Limeade. You can see the menu for the South Riding Dash In location here.

It’s important to stress this proposal is just in the early stages. The company is seeking a special exception permit from the county to allow the Dash In to be built at the Claude Moore Drive location.

Dash In was previously pursuing a second location in Loudoun off Claiborne Parkway just south of Route 7 in the Belmont area. But nearby neighbors were opposed to the project and the Loudoun County Planning Commission agreed and voted against the development.
