The first location of a fledgling hot chicken sandwich chain has opened its doors in Northern Virginia. That’s right — The Red Bird is officially in business.
The Burn first told you about The Red Bird back in October. After operating some earlier test sites, The Red Bird is now focusing on Northern Virginia for expansion — including possible locations in Loudoun County at some point.
Right now, the first store at the Cedar Park Shopping Center in Vienna has started its soft opening, serving up hot chicken sandwiches and tenders, along with crinkle cut fries and other sides.
The company also has a Red Bird location in the works for Reston at the South Lakes Village Center.
Coincidentally, that location of The Red Bird will be just a few doors away from the longtime local dining establishment Red’s Table. That’s a whole lot of “red” restaurants.
