Curry Pizza House says it’s coming to Loudoun County

A California pizza chain says it’s expanding to Virginia and its first location in the state will be in Loudoun County — specifically in Ashburn.

The brand is called Curry Pizza House. It was founded in Fremont, California in 2012 and now has nearly two dozen locations in California as well as Nevada, Texas, and Washington.

The company’s website says it has plans to expand to another 14 cities and counting — and one of the communities listed is Ashburn.

The menu at Curry Pizza House is just what you might expect — a typical pizza joint but with dishes featuring a variety of South Asian spices and flavors.

For example, the menu has Garlic Sticks with Cheese, BBQ Wings, and pizzas such as a Sizzling Bacon pizza, a Hawaiian pizza, and a Margherita pizza.’

But the menu also has Baked Masala Chips, Tandoori Wings, a Butter Chicken pizza, and a Chili Paneer pizza among many others. You can check out the full Curry Pizza House menu here.

Of course, the region already has a number of pizza restaurants that specialize in Indian-style flavors. There is Chicago Pizza with a Twist and Pizza 360 in Ashburn and Pizza Twist, which has locations in Sterling and Herndon among others.

No word on where Curry Pizza House might ultimately land. It could be a situation where they have signed a local franchisee and now that person (or team) is starting a search for the right location. As we like to say — stay tuned.
