Loudoun’s first Mezeh moves closer to opening

Finally — after months of seemingly no news — we have a status update on the eagerly awaited new Mezeh Mediterranean Grill in Leesburg.

Today, a Mezeh team member was outside peeling off the window coverings that have hidden the construction work inside for more than a year.

While she said there is no official opening date scheduled yet, it could be as soon as early April if everything goes smoothly.

The Burn has been covering the Mezeh plans since we first broke the news more than two years ago — in February 2022. It’s opening in the Compass Creek developement near the Leesburg airport.

That’s the same retail center with Walmart, At Home, Popeyes, Starbucks, Chipotle, and Buffalo Wing Factory.

With the window coverings down, we got our first glimpse inside the store. While it’s filled with boxes of equipment and work is still happening, we could see the wooden ceiling decor and a large illuminated Mezeh logo on the wall.

Outside, the Mezeh signs were turned on a glowing bright orange.

If you’re new to Mezeh, it’s a growing brand based right here in the DMV with more than 50 locations open or in the works. The bulk of them are here in Virginia, but they have stores in DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New Jersey, and New York.

The menu is all about building your own Mediterranean style bowl. You can see said menu below.
