Virginia’s 401st ABC store opens in Leesburg

A ribbon cutting was held today — Tuesday, March 19 — to celebrate the grand opening of the state’s latest Virginia ABC store, the state-operated chain of liquor stores.

The new location is in the Shops at Compass Creek in Leesburg. That’s in that row of restaurants and stores north of the new Walmart store by the Leesburg Airport.

You’ll find it next door to the Bruster’s Real Ice Cream shop and two doors away from the new Mezeh Mediterranean Grill that we anticipate opening in the next few weeks.

The 2,000 s.f. store has more than 900 different products, according to the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority. It’s the third ABC store in the Leesburg area and the 401st in the state.
