Desi Roadhouse may be bringing four cuisines to Sterling

For several months now, we’ve been tracking a new restaurant coming to Loudoun County, trying to get more information. Now, we’ve gotten a few details — but we still have more questions than answers.

We’re talking about Desi Roadhouse, which is coming to a new retail center going up at 46000 West Church Road in Sterling (see photo at top).

The word “Desi” implies that Indian food will be on the menu — and it may be. However, a nascent website shows that more cuisines are also on the line-up.

It lists four separate restaurant concepts under one roof: Far East – Chinese cuisine, Taj Mahal Kabob – Indian and Pakistani cuisine, Restaurante Latino – Latin American cuisine, and Krispy Krunchy Chicken, a fried chicken restaurant.

That last one is a national fried chicken franchise, most often found in gas stations and convenience stores. We’re not clear if the other brands are also existing brands or being created just for Desi Roadhouse.

We’re also unclear whether this is a traditional sit down restaurant or a fast-food restaurant  — just with four different menus? Or could this be some sort of food hall concept with separate kiosks serving up the different cuisines?

We’ve got a message in to the folks at Desi Roadhouse with a long list of questions we’d love answers to. We’ll report back as soon as we have fresh details.
