Loudoun’s new Goodwill store opens to big crowds

The new Goodwill store and donation center opened in Loudoun County this weekend and big crowds turned out for opening day.

The parking lot was packed and cars were parking on adjacent streets. Inside, the store was full of shoppers and there was a lengthy line snaking to the checkout counters.

The new store is located at 45380 Manifest Boulevard in Sterling. It’s part of the tiny Guilford Station development that also currently includes a 7-Eleven, a Human Bean coffee shop, plus a yet-to-be-built Dairy Queen Chill & Grill and a future car wash.

The store is the 22nd Goodwill location in the greater Washington DC area. It can be found just off State Road 28 north of West Church Road and is being referred to as the Dulles Goodwill store.

This is in contrast to the longtime Goodwill store and donation center on Enterprise Street in Sterling that is known as the Sterling Goodwill store. That original location is still open as well, but the new Dulles facility is much larger.
