Bray & Scarff, a kitchen appliance and remodeling store, is moving its Sterling location from one area shopping center to another. We’re told the move should happen sometime this summer.
Currently, Bray & Scarff is a longtime tenant at the Cascades Marketplace shopping center. Regular readers know that Cascades Marketplace has been having a rough go of it, with many tenants leaving. Plans to completely re-envision the center are in the works (see that story here).
But Bray & Scarff has decided to leave now. We’re told they are targeting an August move to a new spot at the Nokes Plaza center. That’s near the intersection of Nokes Boulevard and Windmill Park Drive.
Other tenants at Nokes include a Burger 21, a Bassett Furniture store, a Sheetz convenience store, and Beyond/Hello, Loudoun’s first retail cannabis dispensary.
While losing another tenant isn’t what the landlords at Cascades Marketplace want, there are longterm plans to reduce the retail footprint at the center and add new residential housing. The section of the center where Bray & Scarff is located currently could one day be townhomes or apartments.
Bray & Scarff is a regional company with some 15 locations in Northern Virginia and Maryland.
